OPEN LETTER TO THE AREWA YOUTHS. By Charles Ogbu. Brethren from the North, I bring you greetings from the Southern part of Nigeria. On behalf of the peace-loving people of the south in general and millions of Igbo youths in particular, I start this letter by commending you for your recent open letter to the acting president, professor Yemi Osinbajo, where you called on the pastor-turned politician to organise a Referendum for the Igbos to enable them determine their future in line with international law on self determination. By that letter, you proved to be better versed and more sophisticated in legal matters and ways of international laws with regards to the right of Indigenous People on Self Determination than the acting President who ironically is a law professor but who happen to think that quest for self determination is a crime simply because the fraudulent document known as the 1999 constitution imposed on us by military thugs did not recognise it. Having said these, le

The meeting was attended by Governors Kashim Shettima of Borno, Nasir El-Rufai, Aminu Masari of Katsina State, Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto and Abubakar Bello of Niger State. The Emir further pleaded for pardon over the mischievous assertions made on several occasion condemning the projects of the state government. It will be recalled that the monarch while speaking at an event on April 5th, in Kaduna, faulted the governor's premier project, the $1.85 million light rail project, saying it was a misplacement of priority. Oshiomole disgraced on Workers day celebration in Abuja

Image
MAY DAY DISASTER AT THE EAGLES SQUARE! Pandemonium at eagles square as workers disrupt speech by permanent secretary, ministry of labour and employment who is purportedly representing the minister that is seated right in front of her in the gathering. They insisted the minister must speak for himself. It was claimed that the minister was representing the President. The workers asked where is the vice president to address them? They seem to have succeeded in their plight of stopping the perm sec. The situation is highly embarrassing I must confess. The Senate president, Distinguished Sen Bukola Saraki and speaker house of reps, Rt Hon Yakubu Dogara seem to be enjoying the drama as they sit calmly in their seats watching with great enthusiasm. Oshiomole (on his own volition) drew the anger of the crowd when he grabbed the microphone and took the centre stage in apparently trying to calm down the workers, when he announced in my capacity. lo and behold, the workers did not wait to know
